ABOUT

I founded LAFAZIA ARCHITECTURE in order to share my lifelong passion for building and design.  My grandfather, father and uncles were builders and I worked alongside them since I was a teenager.  I designed my first house at 16 years old and two weeks later I was building it in one of dad’s developments.  That feeling—drawing something on paper and then making it with my own hands—is as exciting to me today as it was 40 years ago.

LAFAZIA ARCHITECTURE is a full-service, client-focused architectural firm committed to the pursuit of excellence in architecture.  To that end, we have completed new construction and renovations for well-known institutions and clients in New York and New Jersey. As the Principal of LAFAZIA ARCHITECTURE, I bring the highest degree of care and attention to all of my projects and clients.

Prior to forming LAFAZIA ARCHITECTURE, my colleagues and I served in a design and leadership capacities at notable New York area firms and for high-end clients where we crafted modern buildings and spaces that are distinguished by their innovation, functionality, responsibility and sophistication.  We have our core Practice Areas—Healthcare, Science & Technology/, Education, Commercial/ Interiors and Residential—where we excel, but we are always looking forward to that new project that will challenge our problem solving skills and stimulate our creativity.  The firm’s deep and intimate knowledge of the details of the construction process, combined with our collective experience distinguishes it.

LAFAZIA ARCHITECTURE strives to design sustainable and energy-efficient buildings that function holistically within their environment and to produce the finest quality architecture with respect to programmatic and budgetary constraints.   After a lifetime in architecture, I remain inspired by the transformative potential of architecture.   I believe that, when executed well, architecture should elevate the everyday lives of those who interact with it and we strive to bring that sense of purpose to each project.
